Experiencing PDL (Adults)
An Introductory Course for Language Teachers to PDL With Eugene Schaefer

PDL (Psychodramaturgy for Language Acquisition) is a unique – and uniquely effective – method that allows the teacher to help learners find the words to express their own ideas in the target language. A PDL course has a clear structure and progression, but the actual content is constantly drawn anew from the learners themselves, both individually and as a group.

Drawing on a number of sources such as J. Moreno's psychodrama and the principles of dramaturgy, PDL was developed over 30 years ago by Bernard and Marie Dufeu who continue to dedicate themselves to refining and promulgating the method. For more on their work, see: /www.psychodramaturgie.de.

This one week course is for language teachers of adults who would like to experience PDL first hand. It will follow the normal progression of a PDL beginners' course with German as the target language. While learning German as any beginner would, there will be step-by-step explanations of the method in English, giving participants both a theoretical and a practical introduction to a method that dares to be different.

Course Dates 2012
September 16th – 22nd

Course Price: 550 Euros
Host family accommodation and meals: 190 Euros
